A man named Alex Onyia from Enugu state has stirred a controversy after claiming that “the best Palmwine in the world is from Udi, Enugu State
He made this comment on his X account @Winexviv
In his words: “…the best palm wine in the world. It generates more than $50m annually.
This is a gold mine in Enugu State that can be further developed.”
His assertions attracted a lot of controversies as Netizens reacted sharply to his claims:
Supporting him @udimnwenyi said I”see people here that do not know the cost of a gallon of palm wine , a cup of that thing in my town is 4000 -5000 naira do the math 🧮 and it’s a daily thing”
@METAFORCE1000 on his part said; While I don’t know about the money numbers, let me gently draw your mind to Enugu Ezike palm wine. It remains top.

@mclive05 joined by asking; Alex, your exaggeration is beyond real. You need to travel to Igboeze North, Udenu at Nsukka and Orokarami in Kogi and environs to taste the palm milk there then we talk. No water in the soil. It is ahead of the Udi wine.
