- SenatovNatasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Held By Immigration
In a surprising turn of events at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, was briefly stopped by Nigerian immigration officials while attempting to board a flight to the United Kingdom on Thursday.
According to credible sources who spoke on conditions of anonymity with headlineswave.ngSenator Akpoti-Uduaghan had arrived at the international terminal alongside her husband, Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, when she was unexpectedly told by officials that her name had been placed on a watch list, effectively blocking her from traveling.
She was teportedly delayed for nearly an hour while immigration personnel consulted their superiors. During the tense moments, she was told she could not board the British Airways flight scheduled for London.
However, after several calls and internal consultations, her name was eventually removed from the list, and she was cleared to travel. The sudden change sparked speculation about political motives behind the watch list action.
This incident comes on the heels of rising tensions between Senator Natasha and the leadership of the Nigerian Senate. A couple of months ago, she was suspended from the Senate after making explosive allegations of sexual harassment and abuse of office against Senate President Godswill Akpabio -accusations which Akpabio and his allies strongly deny.
