Gunmen Ambush Military Patrol in Plateau, Kill 14 Soldiers
At least 14 soldiers, including a Captain and a Colonel, were reportedly killed in a brutal ambush by gunmen in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State on Friday night.
According to eyewitness accounts and local reports, the attack occurred at about 8:00 p.m. when the armed assailants ambushed a military patrol in the area.
Sources said several soldiers lost their lives during the incident, while the remains of the slain personnel have been evacuated to the Plateau State General Hospital.
Residents who spoke to journalists described the attack as shocking and tragic, noting that the assailants reportedly carried out the ambush with heavy firepower before fleeing the scene.
