Freed Ibom Air Passenger Comfort Emmanson Says She Is Still in Pain After Prison Ordeal

Headlineswave.ng, Nigeria.

Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger recently cleared of all charges over alleged unruly behaviour aboard a flight, has spoken publicly for the first time since regaining her freedom — revealing she is still in pain from her prison experience.

Emmanson walked free on Wednesday after an Ikeja Magistrate Court in Ogba, Lagos, struck out a five-count charge against her. The dismissal followed a request by the police, who confirmed that both the airline and the complainant no longer wished to pursue the matter.

Taking to Instagram shortly after her release, the visibly emotional Emmanson expressed deep gratitude to her friends, supporters, and God for standing by her during her ordeal. “Thank you so much for all the prayers, love, and support. I’ve been released from prison, but I’m still in pains due to how I was treated. I just need some rest and medical treatment before I give out my own version of the event. I really appreciate y’all from the bottom of my heart. God bless y’all. THANK YOU MY GREAT GOD!!!”

She added that she would share her full account of events once she recovers physically and emotionally from the experience.

The case had drawn public attention after videos of the alleged incident circulated online, sparking debates on passenger rights and airline protocols in Nigeria.
