Former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, has congratulated the people of Abia State on the anniversary of its creation, hailing their resilience, progress, and unyielding hope for a brighter future.

In a goodwill message released on Tuesday, Dr. Ogah described the creation of Abia State as a historic milestone that gave Ndi Abia a stronger voice in Nigeria’s socio-political and economic landscape. He commended successive governments and the citizens for their contributions toward the growth of the state, despite challenges.

“Today, we celebrate not just the birth of our dear state, but the enduring spirit of Ndi Abia. Our people have shown resilience in the face of trials, progress in times of change, and hope in the pursuit of a greater tomorrow. Abia remains blessed with resourceful men and women, and I am confident that our best days are still ahead,” Ogah stated.

He urged Abians to continue working in unity, upholding values of hard work and integrity, while supporting initiatives that will accelerate industrial growth, youth empowerment, and infrastructural development.

Dr. Ogah further expressed optimism that with visionary leadership and the collective will of the people, Abia State would continue to stand tall as “God’s Own State”, fulfilling the aspirations of its founding fathers.

“On this day, I felicitate with every son and daughter of Abia. Let us continue to keep faith in God and in the destiny of our state. Together, we will achieve the greatness we seek,” he added.
