The internal turmoil rocking the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has taken a dramatic turn following the emergence of a resignation letter allegedly authored by Nafiu Bala, further muddying the already troubled waters of the party’s leadership crisis.
The letter, dated March 18, 2025, and addressed to his ward chairman in Gombe State, confirms Bala’s resignation as Deputy National Chairman of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC).
According to the document, the resignation formally took effect on March 26, 2025.
In what appears to be a carefully worded exit, Bala insisted his decision should not be misconstrued as a departure from the party.
Rather, he framed it as a strategic move aimed at ensuring a seamless transition within the ADC’s leadership structure.
He also left the door open for future involvement, expressing willingness to serve the party in any other capacity if called upon.
However, the timing and sudden resurfacing of the letter have sparked intense speculation.
