Nenadi Usman Chairs LP NEC, Considers Disciplinary Actions Against erring Members, Affirms Congress Timetable
The Labour Party faction led by Nenadi Usman has reportedly held a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Tuesday, March, 17, 2026 where key issues affecting the party were discussed.
According to details obtained from an internal audio made available to headlinedwave.ng , the NEC meeting, chaired by Nenadi Usman, considered the report of the party’s Peace, Reconciliation and Disciplinary Committee.
The committee reportedly recommended the indefinite suspension of several national and state officials, as well as some party members.
Among those mentioned in the audio is Hilda Dokubo, former Nollywood actress and Labour party chieftain, Grace Zamfara, the plateau state labour party chair person, and many others.
The NEC was also said to have frowned at the actions of former National Chairman, Julius Abure, and some of his allies over alleged forceful entry into the party’s national secretariat and removal of documents.
These claims remain independently unverified as of the time of filing this report.
The meeting further reportedly discussed and approved a timetable for state and national congresses as part of efforts to restructure the party. Details of the congresses are as follows
