Don’t Fear Death, Fear Loosing Your Soul – Trump’s Vice Preaches Gospel at CPAC

Vice President J.D. Vance shared the gospel at this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference.

As a nation that has been so far removed from the Christian faith the last few years, his words are refreshing:

“I believe the fundamental tenet of the Christian faith, it’s not just a set of good moral principles, though it is that,” Vance says. “The fundamental tenet of our faith is that the Son of God became man, He died and then He was raised from the dead.”

Vance also encouraged others not to fear death itself, but rather fear losing your soul.

“There are much more terrible things than just losing one’s life,” Vance says. “And importantly, you could lose one’s soul.”

The vice president then went on to discuss how it is the current administration’s goal to create the kind of society where parents can raise their children in righteous, upright ways of the Lord so that they can become the kind of people to lead their communities and the nation. He points out that across time, Christians have faced an array of challenges, but that the rewards which matter most are those found in heaven, not on the earth.

“We don’t worry so much about whether we’re going to have earthly rewards; we worry about whether we’re doing right by God Almighty above.”

Vance’s gospel message is a reminder that all of us, whether we are in the public view or not, are called to live for God, to seek His will and ultimately, to glorify the Lord at all times.
