The city of Jos is alive with color, music, art, and cultural expression as the Enchanting Plateau Exhibition 2025 continues at Odilins Event Center. The week-long event, which opened on December 1 and runs until Sunday, December 7, has become a vibrant hub for entertainment lovers, creatives, and cultural enthusiasts from across Nigeria. Beyond its artistic showcase, this year’s edition is making a bold statement on the power of creative expression in fostering unity and strengthening Plateau State’s presence in Nigeria’s entertainment landscape.

Hannatu Musa Musawa

The Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, lauded the exhibition as a transformative cultural force that has reshaped perceptions and elevated Plateau’s creative identity within a single year. Though not physically present, she expressed strong support for the initiative.

Musawa praised the theme “One” for reinforcing unity, shared identity, and collective progress. She commended Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his consistent commitment to the creative sector and reaffirmed the Federal Ministry’s dedication to expanding opportunities across the creative value chain. According to her, projects like Enchanting Plateau strengthen Nigeria’s soft power and enhance the country’s growing global cultural influence.

David Thomas

Convener of the exhibition, David Thomas, emphasized the entertainment-driven vision behind Enchanting Plateau. He noted that although Plateau State has long produced remarkable musicians, actors, and visual artists, the region previously lacked a consistent platform that met national and international creative standards.

Over the past year, the initiative has showcased over 300 artworks, supported more than 100 artists, hosted school competitions, and built strong partnerships across the cultural ecosystem. Thomas thanked stakeholders in tourism and the creative industry and urged the public to attend, enjoy performances, and support artists, stressing that public engagement is key to sustaining Plateau’s entertainment growth.

Anjugu (For Tune)

Musical artist Fortune Anjugu described the collaborative energy at this year’s exhibition as inspiring and “a blessing.” He praised David Thomas for building a structured platform that gives artists visibility and long-term opportunities.

He highlighted a unique artwork inspired by the Mugavu language of the Mangu people, describing the overall experience as enriching and eye-opening. According to him, the exhibition reflects Plateau as one united creative community.

Omojo Umoru

Afro-soul and R&B singer Omojo Umoru shared her admiration for both Jos and the exhibition. Having lived in Jos since 2017, she dismissed negative stereotypes about the city, describing it as peaceful, beautiful, and home to warm-hearted people.

Experiencing the exhibition for the first time, she praised its serene environment, energetic performances, and impressive creative displays. She said she was inspired to document the event for her audience, stressing that it deserves to be preserved for future generations.

Gideon King (G. King)

Spoken-word artist and tech professional Gideon King, popularly known as G. King, described Enchanting Plateau as a world-class platform that fuels creativity and gives artists the visibility they need. He noted that art “keeps the world alive,” giving life meaning beyond daily survival.

He encouraged the public to support creatives through patronage and promotion, while urging artists to collaborate, uplift one another, and continue striving for excellence.

As the Enchanting Plateau Exhibition 2025 continues through December 7, Odilins Event Center remains a melting pot of entertainment, culture, and artistic brilliance. With powerful endorsements, inspiring performances, and increasing public engagement, the exhibition is firmly positioning Plateau State as a rising entertainment and creative hotspot in Nigeria. Organizers, artists, and visitors agree—the future of Plateau’s creative industry is brighter than ever.
