The Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, has called on Nigerians to unite in prayers to tackle insecurity and restore peace across the country.

This was contained in a statement signed by Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Naisa, Press Secretary to the Emir of Kano.

According to the statement, he made the call during a special prayer session held at his palace in Nassarawa, Kano, where hundreds of followers of the Qadiriyya Islamic movement gathered to pray for the nation.

Speaking at the event, the Emir stressed the importance of seeking divine intervention in addressing the country’s challenges.

“This gathering is dedicated to offering prayers for our nation, Nigeria, for lasting peace, unity, and sustainable economic development. We must continue to seek Allah’s intervention in all our affairs as a people,” he said.

The royal father noted that insecurity remains a major concern and urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayers while supporting efforts aimed at restoring stability.

He also said special prayers were offered for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asking God to guide him in tackling the country’s economic and security challenges.

“We pray Almighty Allah to assist him, grant him wisdom and good fortune, and enable him to succeed in stabilizing the nation’s economy and bringing an end to insecurity across the country,” the Emir added.

The Emir further commended the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for promoting unity among residents of the state.

Earlier, the leader of the Qadiriyya group, Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, said the prayer session was organised after the Ramadan period to seek God’s guidance for the country.

“We came together at this significant period after Ramadan to offer collective prayers for our nation, seeking Allah’s guidance, peace, stability, and economic prosperity for Nigeria,” he said.
