Under the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Act, defacing or mishandling the naira is a punishable offense, yet cases of naira abuse continue to surface online. Social media users expressed outrage, with some labeling her actions as “reckless” and “disrespectful to the country’s economy.”

“People are struggling to get cash, and someone is here destroying money for fashion?” one user commented. Others urged authorities to make an example of her to deter further violations.
