MC Oluomo Denies Meeting Peter Obi, Says Viral Photo Was Photoshopped
The National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has debunked reports alleging that he met with the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, MC Oluomo described the reports as false and mischievous, insisting that no such meeting ever took place.
He specifically addressed a viral photo making rounds on social media purportedly showing him with Peter Obi, clarifying that the image was doctored. According to him, the photo was “photoshopped” by political propagandists intent on dragging his name into partisan controversies.
The NURTW boss emphasized that he remains focused on union activities and has no political alliance with Obi or any political party. He urged the public to disregard the reports, warning politicians and their supporters against using his name for propaganda capable of misleading Nigerians and creating unnecessary tension.
