A newborn baby has been found dumped ins ide a waste bin donated by Plateau state commissioner for Local Government Affairs to the people of RwanJeh in Rantya community of Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau state.
The baby is believed to have been dumped at midnight of Thursday 4th of December, 2024.
As at Friday morning, it was discovered that the baby was already dead.
A group of people mostly women were seen around the waste bin raining curses on anyone who had committed the dastardly act. Some of them even suggested that the mother of the baby should have taken the baby to the state government or wrap the child in an empty carton so that people might see the child alive and take a better decision to save the child. Others suggested that the mother should have taken the child to motherless babies home for proper upkeep instead of wasting the innocent child that way.
The state police command could not be reached as at press time.
