Muhammad Kabiru Ingawa has taken over as the new commandant of the Jigawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Ingawa replaces Bodinga who has been transferred to Kano State.
Ingawa is the 16th commandant of the Jigawa State command. He joined the security service in 2005 after completing his basic training in Owerri.
He also received training at the Nigerian Prison Staff College in Kaduna and has attended various other training courses both in Nigeria and abroad.
Before his posting to Jigawa, Ingawa served in Katsina, Delta, and Kaduna states. He also previously held the position of commandant in Nasarawa State. In 2013, he was recognized as the “Best Functional Staff” of his command.
Ingawa is an associate member of the Corporate Institute of Administration. He is married and has seven children.
