
The Ogun State Police Command has decorated and elevated 541 officers to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP.
The State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, said the promotion recognizes the officers’ outstanding performance, discipline, and dedication to duty, and underscores the Force’s unwavering commitment to merit and institutional integrity.
DAILY POST reports that the ceremony was carried out concurrently at the command’s headquarters, area commands, divisions, and other formations across Ogun State on Monday.

According to a statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, the elevation strengthens the command’s leadership structure, enhances operational capacity, and symbolizes recognition for hard work alongside a renewed call to higher responsibility and service.
The Commissioner also expressed appreciation to the families of the promoted officers for their support and sacrifices.
He charged the newly elevated ASPs to uphold higher standards of discipline, professionalism, and accountability, urging them to intensify intelligence-led policing to maintain the safety and security of the state.
