Olu Apata condoles with Gov. Ododo over father’s demise

The Olu of Apata, Dr Frederick Balogun, has commiserated with Gov. Ahmed Ododo and his family over the death of his father, Alhaji Sani Ododo.

In a letter of condolence made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday, the traditional ruler, appealed to the governor to take solace in God over the irreplaceable loss.

Balogun said that the news of Pa Ododo’s death came to him as a rude shock and so deeply saddening.

He said, “It’s with sorrowful heart that I, my family and Apata community extend our condolences and deepest sympathy to His Excellency, the family and the entire good people of Kogi state.

“We sincerely join you in mourning Pa Ododo and pray that God will comfort and strengthen you during this difficult time.”

The Oba prayed for the peaceful repose of Pa Ododo’s soul and for God’s mercy and strength to uphold the entire family.

News Men report that Pa Sani Ododo, 83, reportedly died on Monday in an Abuja Hospital during a protracted ailment.
