Prophet Isa El-Buba Slams Miyetti Allah, Says Silence in Face of Injustice is Complicity
Renowned cleric, Prophet Isa El-Buba, has openly criticized the actions of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), declaring that despite being Fulani himself, he cannot remain silent in the face of injustice.
Speaking in an interview with News Central TV, El-Buba stressed the importance of truth, noting that silence would only amount to complicity. “I’m a Fulani man. I’m grandfather of eight grandchildren and we just have to speak the truth. The Bible says you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free,” he stated firmly.
The fiery preacher said the conduct of some leaders and members of Miyetti Allah has been a major source of tension in Nigeria, particularly regarding farmer-herder clashes and insecurity in rural communities.
According to him, rather than providing peaceful solutions, the association has often been accused of justifying or downplaying violent acts carried out by herders.
El-Buba maintained that the time has come for all ethnic and religious leaders to stand on the side of justice, irrespective of personal or group affiliations. “My Fulani heritage will not stop me from condemning wrongdoing,” he added.
His bold remarks have sparked debate across the country, with many Nigerians praising his courage to confront sensitive issues within his own ethnic group.
