Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has congratulated the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, on his 10th coronation anniversary, describing his reign as one of vision, progress, and cultural pride.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, Sanwo-Olu commended the monarch for steering Ikorodu towards unprecedented growth and prosperity over the past decade. He lauded Oba Shotobi’s exemplary leadership, which he said has been marked by wisdom, benevolence, and an enduring commitment to the preservation of cultural heritage.
The governor highlighted the traditional ruler’s dedication to peace, unity, and development, noting that his efforts have strengthened Ikorodu’s position within Lagos State while elevating its cultural identity. Sanwo-Olu also praised Oba Shotobi’s role as vice chairman of the Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs, where his contributions have supported the state’s progress.
“As Oba Shotobi marks this milestone, it is my prayer that the Almighty will continue to bless him with good health, wisdom, and many more years of service to Ikorodu, Lagos State, and Nigeria,” Sanwo-Olu said.
