
In an Interview on Channels TV on Monday monitored by Headlineswave.ng Asari Dokubo reacted to sundry comments made by the the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike during a media chat with newsmen last week
Wike in that interview referred the Ijaw Nation as a minority and too small to challenge the political equation of River state or threaten the unity of the country.
There has been am altercation between Wike who is seen as the political godfather in River state and and his godson and the state governor, Fubura, for the last 2 years.
Asked about his take if the Governor of River state is impeached, the monarch, also known by his traditional title as Dabaye Amakiri I said, make them try am, Make them try am. He warned that this kind of situation brought down the first republic. In his words, the Oil pipelines pass through their land and what is the land belongs to the land and no one can deny them of that.
He called on the president, Tinubu, who he referred as his former friend, to intervene in the political logjam to save the state from further crises
