The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, on Sunday visited the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, at his Bodija residence in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Oba Ogunwusi was received by Oba Ladoja and members of his entourage as coronation activities commence this week.
The former Oyo State governor will be formally installed as the 44th Olubadan on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Oba Ladoja’s emergence followed the passing of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, who died on July 7, 2025, at the age of 90.
President Bola Tinubu and other eminent dignitaries are expected at the coronation, where security agencies plan to deploy over 2,000 personnel to maintain order as Ibadan hosts visitors from across Nigeria and beyond.
