Monthly Sanitation Exercise Holds Saturday, May 30 in Plateau State
The Plateau Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency (PEPSA) has announced that the routine General Monthly Sanitation Exercise will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
Residents across Plateau State are urged to actively participate by cleaning their surroundings and complying with all sanitation guidelines during the exercise.
Movement will be restricted within the stipulated sanitation hours.
According to the Agency, communities are also encouraged to complement ongoing sanitation and desiltation efforts previously carried out by PEPSA in different parts of the state.
Residents are particularly advised to clear blocked drainages, waterways, and culverts to allow free flow of water as the rainy season intensifies.
PEPSA noted that the collective effort is necessary to reduce the risks of flooding, environmental pollution, and other public health concerns within communities.
The Agency further disclosed that PEPSA officials will conduct routine supervision and monitoring across various communities during the sanitation exercise to ensure compliance with environmental sanitation standards.
PEPSA appreciated residents for their continued cooperation and support toward keeping Plateau State clean, safe, and environmentally sustainable.
