Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Hyacinth Dajoh, has stepped down from his position, bringing an end to his tenure as leader of the 10th Assembly.
Dajoh announced his resignation in a letter made public on Sunday, stating that his decision took effect from August 24. He explained that the move was taken “in faith and in the best interest of the state.”
The former speaker thanked his colleagues for the trust and opportunity to serve as “first among equals,” while assuring that he remains committed to his responsibilities as a legislator representing Gboko West State Constituency.
