Another Air Force Airstrike on Innocent Civilians
Tragedy struck yesterday evening in Tungar Kara community, Maradun LGA, Zamfara State, as an Airforce airstrike mistakenly targeted members of the Zamfara Community Protection Guard (ZCPG), vigilantes, and residents.
The airstrike, which reportedly occurred after bandits raided the area and fled, claimed the lives of at least 20 people. The victims were local vigilantes and residents defending their community against the bandits.
So far, 16 bodies have been recovered, but the total casualty figure remains unknown.
This unfortunate incident highlights the devastating consequences of such operational errors.
