A dramatic incident unfolded in Kebbi State after operatives of the Kebbi State Hisbah Board reportedly arrested a man who was allegedly hiding inside a “Ghana Must-Go” bag at the residence of a married woman in Birnin Kebbi.

According to a report by dailytrust.com, the incident occurred in the Badariya area after residents reportedly noticed a suspicious movement late at night and alerted religious enforcement officials.

Speaking on the matter, Director of Sharia at the board, Sirajo Kamba, said residents became concerned after allegedly seeing the man enter the woman’s residence around midnight. Acting on the report, Hisbah officials stormed the house to conduct a search.

Kamba explained that the woman initially denied that anyone else was inside the house, but later allowed officers to search the premises thoroughly.

During the search, officers allegedly discovered the suspect concealed inside a large travel bag popularly known in Nigeria as a “Ghana Must-Go” bag.

Preliminary investigations, according to the board, suggested that the man and the married woman were involved in an alleged illicit relationship contrary to Islamic regulations observed in the state.

Authorities further disclosed that both suspects reportedly admitted to the allegations during interrogation and may face legal proceedings under Sharia law.

The unusual nature of the incident has since generated widespread reactions on social media, with many Nigerians expressing shock and amusement over the bizarre attempt to avoid detection.
