Seeing the reactions, Omokri later clarified that he harbours no personal hatred toward Peter Obi.
According to him, many people wrongly confuse political opposition with personal animosity.
He argued that one can disagree strongly with another person’s politics while still wishing them well as a fellow Nigerian.
“We cannot be people who are governed by our emotions,” Omokri said, insisting that his criticisms of Obi are political rather than personal.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Omokri has publicly shown cordiality toward Peter Obi despite attacking him politically.
