Davido, Rema, Fally Ipupa to Headline Afro Nation Portugal 2027
Nigeria’s global Afrobeats influence will again be strongly represented at Afro Nation Portugal, with Davido and Rema announced among the headline performers for the 2027 edition.
Congolese star Fally Ipupa will join them at the top of the first announced lineup.

The festival is scheduled for June 9 to 11, 2027, at Praia da Rocha beach in Portimão, Portugal.
Other artistes announced in the first wave include Omah Lay, Victony, Odeal, Shenseea and Rayvanny, while GIMS is listed as a special guest.
The organisers say more performers will be announced later.
The festival has become one of the major international platforms for African music, particularly Afrobeats and amapiano.
For Nigerian music, the significance goes beyond individual performances.
Afro Nation has helped create a global meeting point for African artistes and international audiences, with Nigerian stars repeatedly occupying major positions on its lineups.
Davido and Rema returning to headline the Portugal edition therefore reinforces the continuing international demand for Nigerian pop music.
The 2027 event will take place earlier than several recent editions.
Presale tickets are scheduled to open on September 29, followed by general sales on September 30.
Headlineswave reports that the full lineup is still developing, but the first announcement already places Nigerian music prominently on the international festival calendar.
