NASARAWA POLITICS; A dramatic scene reportedly unfolded during the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary election in Nasarawa State after an aspirant, Hon. Usman Attah, was allegedly denied access to the venue of the exercise.
Headlineswave.ng gathers that the incident, which has since gone viral on social media, reportedly occurred during the APC primary for the Awe/Doma/Keana Federal Constituency.
According to reports circulating online, Hon. Attah and her supporters initially arrived at the APC Secretariat for the primary election, only to allegedly discover that the gate to the venue was locked.
Eyewitness accounts claimed the aspirant was later informed that the exercise had been moved to the residence of the Nasarawa State Deputy Governor.
However, upon getting to the new location, the situation allegedly became more dramatic as the gate to the deputy governor’s residence was also reportedly locked, preventing access to the venue.
Videos and photos shared online showed the visibly frustrated aspirant and some supporters demanding that the gate be opened while raising concerns over the conduct of the exercise.
Some reports further alleged that selected delegates and supporters had already been accommodated inside the venue ahead of the primary election.
Hon. Attah is reportedly contesting the outcome of the exercise and demanding the cancellation of the primary, insisting that a fresh and transparent process should be conducted.
The development has triggered widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians expressing concern over the credibility of internal party primaries and the growing controversies surrounding the 2027 political process.
Neither the Nasarawa State APC leadership nor the office of the deputy governor had officially responded to the allegations as of the time of filing this report.
A video linked to the incident has continued to circulate across social media platforms, attracting mixed reactions from political observers and Nigerians online.
