The Founder of Evangelical Biblical Outreach Ministries International (EBOMI), Prophet Isa El-Buba, has unveiled a major community security initiative aimed at improving safety across Plateau State through the Peace Ambassadors Joint Task Force (JTF).
The initiative includes the commissioning of over 20 security outposts, deployment of patrol motorcycles, and installation of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras in strategic locations across Jos North Local Government Area.
The projects were inaugurated on Thursday, July 30, 2026, in the presence of senior police officers, other security agencies, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and community stakeholders.
Community-Based Security Initiative
According to Prophet El-Buba, the Peace Ambassadors JTF is a volunteer security network established to complement the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies through intelligence gathering, surveillance, rapid response, and community engagement.
He explained that the initiative is designed to encourage residents to actively participate in safeguarding their communities while working within the law.
Over 20 Security Outposts Commissioned
During the ceremony, El-Buba commissioned security posts at Bauchi Junction, Gondola, TT&T Junction, and other identified security flashpoints.
He disclosed that more than 20 security outposts have already been constructed to serve as operational bases for trained Peace Ambassadors deployed across the metropolis.
According to him, the outposts will improve visibility, speed up emergency response, and strengthen collaboration between community volunteers and conventional security agencies.
CCTV, Patrol Bikes to Improve Surveillance
As part of the initiative, CCTV cameras have been installed in selected locations to enhance surveillance and intelligence gathering.
The Peace Ambassadors JTF also received branded patrol motorcycles to enable volunteers respond quickly to emergencies and monitor areas that are difficult to access with vehicles.
The combination of technology and mobility, El-Buba said, is expected to improve crime prevention and early intervention.
Volunteers Warned Against Misconduct
Addressing members of the volunteer security outfit, Prophet El-Buba urged them to remain disciplined and professional while carrying out their responsibilities.
He warned that anyone found abusing the privilege or compromising the integrity of the initiative would face strict disciplinary action.
“Security Is Everyone’s Responsibility”
El-Buba stressed that tackling insecurity should not be left to the military and the police alone.
He called on Nigerians, especially those blessed with resources, to support security agencies and community-based initiatives capable of strengthening peace and protecting lives.
According to him, the support provided through the Peace Ambassadors JTF is intended to complement—not replace—the efforts of conventional security institutions.
Police Commend Initiative
Representing the Plateau State Commissioner of Police, the Divisional Police Officer of Nasarawa Gwom Division, Malam Saidu Ventim, praised the initiative.
He said the newly commissioned security infrastructure would enhance intelligence gathering, improve community policing, and deepen cooperation between the police and the Peace Ambassadors JTF.
Expansion Beyond Jos North
Prophet El-Buba revealed that the project will not end in Jos North.
He announced plans to extend the Peace Ambassadors JTF to other parts of Plateau State and Southern Kaduna, with the goal of strengthening grassroots security and supporting ongoing peace-building efforts.
The initiative reflects growing community involvement in supporting law enforcement through volunteerism, surveillance technology, and local partnerships aimed at improving public safety.
